Frequently asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the typical timeline for building a custom home?

The timeline depends on size, design, and complexity. In Utah (Salt Lake City, Park City, and the Wasatch Back), most projects take 10–16 months. In Los Angeles and Southern California, where homes are often larger and more detailed, projects typically span 3–5 years to perfect every element.

How does your design process work?

Our design-build process includes site analysis, architectural design, structural engineering, interiors, and landscape design. We provide in-house design through partnerships with world-class architects who prioritize both beauty and constructability. This ensures the plans are clear for clients and subcontractors, and avoids unnecessary costs. Our project managers are design-oriented, so even during construction, we refine and consult to maximize quality. Already working with an architect? We’ll collaborate seamlessly to bring their vision to life.

Do you offer referral bonuses?

Yes. We value strong relationships. Whether you’re a realtor, architect, or consultant, we offer referral bonuses when a client you introduce becomes a project.

When should we involve you if we already have an architect?

The earlier the better. Involving us from the start allows us to provide cost consulting during design, catch potential issues, and ensure your plans are practical, efficient, and aligned with your budget.

Can I make changes during construction?

Yes. We understand visions evolve. While changes can affect budget and schedule, our design-minded team will always offer creative solutions and refinements to make sure the final result exceeds expectations.

How much does it cost to build a custom home?

Costs vary based on location, size, and complexity. We work on a Cost-Plus basis—a fully transparent process where clients see all receipts and participate in key decisions. This ensures trust and financial clarity throughout the project.

What kind of warranty do you provide?

We offer:

  • 1-Year: Workmanship, distribution systems, and materials.

  • 2-Year: Major systems such as plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.

  • 10-Year: Structural components, including foundation, framing, and load-bearing systems.

Do you provide financing options?

We do not finance directly, but we have strong relationships with construction lenders and can connect you to the right resources.

Do you work with investors?

Yes. We actively partner with investors on spec home projects in Utah and California. Whether you bring a deal to us or seek opportunities to deploy capital, we provide the expertise, design, and execution to maximize returns.

Can you help select finishes and materials?

Absolutely. Our team can guide you through finishes and materials that align with your budget and design goals. We also recommend working with a designer or architect to specify details on the plan set. This is why locking us in early during design ensures the best results.

Do you have experience building in my area?

Yes. We have extensive experience in Utah and California, including:

  • Park City, Salt Lake City, Heber, Alpine, Draper, St. George

  • Los Angeles, Malibu, Thousand Oaks, Hidden Hills, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Sunset Plaza

  • Summit, Wasatch, and Salt Lake Counties in Utah; Ventura and Los Angeles Counties in California
